Mr. Kerins asked the boys to create a Christmas scene in a shoe box. 'All the better,' he suggested, 'if you use recycled materials.'
This is Seán's super creation using egg shells, actimel cartons, old fabric, cardboard and some ivy.

It was . . . this . . . big!!!

John in Mr. Robinson's class has been having a whale of a time recently - he's had his photo printed in the Irish Angler
Don't forget our carols in the school yard on Friday morning at 11:45.

School Choir Performs in Perrystown

Our school choir lifted the roof at the Christmas Concert in Perrystown on Saturday night. The boys were fantastic and they received a rapturous applause. The boys were accompanied on the piano by Aoife Creaton who played beautifully.
There's no rest for the choir as they head to Microsoft in Sandyford on Tuesday where the boys were invited to sing at a charity concert in aid of Children's Medical Research. Then it's back to prepare for the School Carol Services which take place in the hall on Thursday, December 19th and our annual Carols in the Yard on Friday 20th.

Pius Christmas Shows - Calendar

Click on the school calendar below to enlarge. The dates and times are unlikely to change . . . BUT . . . check with teacher a few days in advance to be on the safe side!
Shows are of course free and typically last around half an hour. We are more than happy to see Grandparents and other members of the family. The GP (General Purpose) room is in the new building - on your left as you walk through the front yard. If you can't find it, ask any of our little elves.
As you can see, preparations for the events are well under way - boys are practising their Christmas songs and carols every day.
