Bishop's Blessing

Watch and listen to the blessing bestowed on St. Pius schools by Bishop Eamonn Walsh, 13th February 2015

Jubilee Celebrations February 2015

Many thanks to Bishop Eamonn Walsh for visiting on Friday 13th February to unveil our stone to mark the 50 year anniversary of the founding of St. Pius schools. The stone sits proudly at the entrance to the school. Bishop Eamonn then said Mass in the parish church. The jubilee celebrations continued with a reception in the school hall attended by former teachers, principals and many others associated with our school down the years.
Also pictured are our youngest and oldest students, Sam and Daniel.

Mr. Gough and his fifth class boys set themselves the challenge of associating the numbers 1 to 50 with something in the Pius history or state. It wasn't easy but they weren't daunted. What a super idea. Well done boys.

Jubilee Windows

Everyone in the school is getting ready for our Jubilee Mass this Friday. The boys in Mr. Coyle's , Ms. Kennedy's and Ms. Lally's were busy painting this beautiful window display. We hope that the bishop will notice our art work when he visits us on Friday. As always, many thanks to Celine for creative design

Jubilee Mass

© St. Pius X BNS

The first of our Jubilee celebrations takes place on Friday 13th February when Bishop Walsh celebrates Mass in the parish church. Senior boys will attend the Mass. Please make sure your son has his coat with him as the walk to the Church might be very cold.
Thanks to Ms. Smith and Marie for their painstaking work in creating this super montage of photos. A photo of every boy in the school is on the big 5.
