Quiz Runners-Up

Congratulations to both our senior and junior quiz teams who were runners-up in the Crediut Union Schools quiz on Friday night. Both teams lost out by a single point!!! A fantastic performance by all our team members. The standard was very high with top teams representing all the schools in the area. The juniors scored 53/60 and the seniors 63/72 - very impressive standard of answering.
Junior Team: Ashen, Derry, Donagh and Aaron

New Shed

No, it's not Mr. Coyle's new office!!! Thanks to the generosity of a benefactor who wishes to remain anonymous, we were able to have a second shed installed behind our PE Hall. As you are no doubt aware, storage space has been a growing concern for us and and this secure new space will help us address some resource-management issues.

The Green Team

Our Junior Greens won the Division 1 Go Games before Christmas. Under the expert management of Ms O Connor and Mr Glynn the team were unbeaten in all their matches. Hopefully these boys will bring us to Croke Park next year.

Art House

Liz Coman visited Mr Coughlan's class to share new ideas on Art. The boys had a session on visual thinking strategies and really enjoyed it. The boys look forward to two more visits from Liz.

Intel Mini Scientists

Barry, Carlo and Darragh in Mr Murtagh's Class recently represented St Pius X at the Intel Mini Scientist regional final in Blanchardstown. The boys wowed the judges with their insightful project on food waste and were unlucky not to scoop a prize. Keep an eye out for these budding scientists in the future.
