Mr. Dillon brought his sixth class to the city centre where they met Lorcan (Fionn's Dad) who treated them to a walking tour of old (and new) Dublin - GPO, Hackett bridge, monuments, 1916 scenes, Trinity College . . . The boys had a really wonderful day and many thanks to tour guide and historian Lorcan Collins for his inspirational talks. The boys loved it.

Kids Enjoy the Kids!!

Our front yard became an animal sanctuary for a few days this week with the visit of Maperath Farm. Ducks and hens and lambs and goats and calves and elephants and tigers and snakes and crocodiles and . . . .Farmer Joe was put through his paces answering questions with one fellow asking him had he heard of the magic tractor (apparently it turned into a field!!) and another asking him which sport horses loved most (for the record it's stable tennis).

Sixth Class Visits Microsoft

Mr. Glynn's sixth class visited the Microsoft Offices in Leopardstown on Friday. (Thanks to Daniel's Dad for helping to organise this). As part of the Dreamspace experience they had the chance to programme devices and to learn of some of Microsoft's plans for the digital future. Microsoft also provided lunch for the boys and gave everyone a party bag when leaving - thanks Microsoft.

Football teams are made up of over 80 players and each year we compete in 4 leagues. Huge thanks to all involved and here's to another year of winning in September!

Thanks again to the PA for organising a wonderful baking competition and cake sale. Thanks to our adjudicators Celine, Barbara, Liz and Marie who wanted to sample everything (but weren't allowed!!) ... so judging was based on looks alone!!! Below are some of the exhibits. The standard gets higher every year.

Sports Stars

Well done to the sixth class boys who represented Dublin in a lift and Strike Blitz last week. The boys displayed their skills against strong Kilkenny, Wexford and Laois teams.
Cian and Eoin in Mr Murtagh's 5th class represented Dublin recently at half time in the Dublin V Galway Hurling Match in Pearse Stadium in Galway. Well done too to William and Joe in Ms Redmond's class who represented Dublin in the annual Cumann na mBunscol Friendship match V Belfast last week. It is a tradition that is 84 years old.
