News from Ms. Dunne's Class
This year Ms. O'Connor's boys hosted the Intel Mini Scientist Competition. There were some fantastic projects ranging from bio energy and sustainable batteries to the effects of sugar and coke on our teeth. The boys put on a great display of their projects for the rest of the school and for their parents who were all suitably impressed. There can only be one winner and that was the project "Density in Liquids and Solids" by Derry, James, Haran and Alex. They will go on to represent St. Pius X BNS in the Regional Final in Blanchardstown IT. Well done to Mr. Smyth and Ms. O'Connor for all their hard work!!
Sam Visits St. Pius
The boys gave a warm welcome to Kevin (our GAA Games Promotion Officer) and Evan Comerford, Dublin who brought Sam along with them. Amazing that over 530 pupils got to see them both in the space of just 30 mins. Some of the questions posed were ones that had never been asked before! Looking forward to next year's annual visit already!!!!
Evan presented medals to two of our prize winning Gaelic football teams.

The St. Pius X Folk group has released a CD for Christmas entitled Christmas with Canú featuring three St. Pius boys - Bill, Tom and Patrick. It includes many festive favourites such as Winter, Fire and Snow, Do you hear what I Hear? and many more . . . a terrific stocking filler.
