Rock and Roll . . .

Charlie, Alan, Alexander, Ronan and Dáire painted stones with positive phrases, then rocked up secretly to teachers' rooms and planted them with the hope of brightening someone’s day!

Garda Band Visits St. Pius

The entire school population gathered in the spring sunshine today for a most enjoyable performance by the Garda Band. They treated us to all our favourites including Shotgun, SpongeBob, Match of the Day and The Simpsons. Special mention to Iarlaith in Ms. Corcoran's class (whose Dad, John is a member of the band) and Paddy whose Dad is a guard.

Zak, Jack and Alex

Well done to Zak who was a magician at midfield for his team Shamrock Rovers in the Sketchers Cup All-Ireland Final on Saturday. With over 360 teams taking part, it was a huge achievement for Zak and his teammates to reach the final. They lost out to a strong St. Kevin’s side on the day. Shamrock Rovers also claimed the Peninsula Cup earlier this year.
Well done also to Jack showing the medal he earned for his 5 mile walk at the weekend and not forgetting Alexander who attended the Terenure swimming Gala, winning his heat and attaining a new personal best of 40 seconds in the front crawl, beating his previous PB by a full 8 seconds.

Shannon Ward of the Parents' Association asked us to thank you for your astonishing contribution to Simon Community and the homeless, following their recent appeal. Time and again, boys and their parents come up trumps when asked to support a very worthy cause.
