Credit Union Table Quiz

St. Pius X BNS fielded two quiz teams in the Credit Union quiz last Friday. Both teams did really well with the Senior Team coming third out of over 10 schools! The weekly Friday quiz has been taken over by Mr. Reamonn. Whizz Quiz happens in 3rd to 6th Classes over a number of weeks. As you can see by the photos, our recently retired Quiz Master, Mr. Gaynor came along to support the boys along with Mr. Reamonn and Mr. Ryan

Our three 6th Classes have been busy preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation which will take place at 10.00 am, 15th Feb in St. Pius X Church. Our celebrant this year will be Canon Liam Rigney and he will be assisted by our amazingly supportive Parish Priest, Fr. Gerry Moore. Pictured are Evan and Eoghan from Mr. Geraghty's class with their impressive Confirmation name projects.

New Techonology to help us learn!

Pictured are the boys in Senior Infants coming to grips with our new ActivePanel! Two were installed on Friday. One panel was donated by an extremely generous (and anonymous) parent! The ActivePanels are the latest in educational hardware, helping upgrade our existing Interactive Whiteboard resource.

Look at this old picture taken from the air showing Templeogue's past! Taken in 1972, it shows Templeville Road and part of Templeville Drive. Ashfield and parts of Templeville Drive have yet to be constructed.

It's hard to ARTiculate how “Marvel”lous this work is by Mr. Réamonn’s boys. We love their art and are sure that this isn’t the “Endgame” of their artistic talents!!

St. Pius X BNS were visited by St. Patrick's GNS (Hollypark) on Wednesday. The girls presented their play on the events surrounding the Holocaust and called on us all to remember it on Holocaust Memorial Day on 27th Jan. The performance was poignant and left everyone with a deeper understanding of this sad time in human history. Huge thanks to the staff and pupils of St. Patrick's GNS and their principal, Ms. Gunning.

I know "Izakly" how to do this!

Pictured are the boys in Mr. Curtin's class who with Ms. Lally (the other one!), have been learning about problem solving and team work using the Izak 9 cubes in Maths.
