All about Gaelic Football

Gaelicis an Irish team sport. It games. It is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. The objective of the sport is to score by kicking the ball into the other team's goals (3 points) or kicking or fisting it between two upright posts above the goals and over a crossbar (1 point).Players use a spherical leather ball to play carrying, bouncing, kicking, hand-passing, and soloing. Every for steps with the ball in yor hands you must either hand-pass solo or bonce the the ball you can only bounce th ball once in a row.Each team is made up of 15 players 1 goalkeper 6 defenders 2 midfielders and 6 forwards. The game is 70 minutes long with 35 minutes each half and a 15 minute half time. You can tackle by shouldering or simply knocking the ball out of the opponents hands. If of course you tackle incorrectly and give away a foul the referee will blow his whistle and give the other team a free. Frees are taken by simpley kicking the ball. Sometimes when the foul is a bad foul you could recieve a yellow card two yellow cards mean you get a red card if you get this you must leave the pitch it is also possible to get a straight red card without any yellows for particuarly bad fouls.Black cards mean you must leave the pitch but you can bring on a substitution. Each game is started by the ref throwing the ball in between the 4 midfielders. To end the first half the ref blows his whistle twice. To get the game going again after half time the ref again throws it between the midfielders and finally to end the game the ref blows his whistle 3 times. If the game is a draw extra time is played and if it still remains a draw it goes to a replay.
