School Ethos and Mission Statement

Ethos:

We at St Pius X Boys’ National School are dedicated to providing a positive, inclusive and affirmative environment where all can thrive. Our school is characterised by a friendly and caring atmosphere echoing our Christian values.  We believe in mutual respect between all stakeholders in education to create a genuine partnership between home, school and the wider community.

Mission Statement:

We are a Catholic primary school under the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin. Whilst we value our heritage of faith we welcome children of all belief systems and of none.

Our policy is the pursuit of excellence across a whole range of activities; academic, artistic and sporting. We strive to nurture the individual talents of each boy in our care, that he may become the best version of himself that he can possibly be.

We have a positive and affirmative school ethos, maintained by high standards of behaviour and mutual respect.

We instill a sense of belonging and affiliation to St. Pius X B.N.S. giving the boys a strong grounding to step into their future lives. It is our ambition, through innovative methods, inspiring teaching and compassionate leadership, to awaken hearts and minds and kindle the fire of life-long learning. We acknowledge that this can only be achieved in genuine partnership with parents and our local community of Terenure/Templeogue.

Our aim is to produce resilient young men equipped with the skills and coping strategies needed to face the wider world.

We are immensely proud of our boys, proud of our school and proud of our Irish culture -Deánaimid iarracht Gaeilge a labhairt i gconaí.
