Extra-Curricular Activities:
Extra-curricular activities are an integral part of school life here at St. Pius X B.N.S. The school offers a wide variety of activities to broaden the horizons of our pupils and all students are encouraged to get involved. Extra-curricular activities offered here include sports such as; Gaelic football, hurling, soccer, athletics, tennis and golf. Music also plays a big part in the life of St Pius X BNS and the esteemed school choir is another wonderful facility for students to enjoy. Each of these extra-curricular activities are run by teachers, voluntarily after school hours. The school and local training pitches are alive with activity late into the afternoon with a different sport or music activity taking place each school day.
In addition to this, the St. Pius X Parents’ Association arrange a variety of classes, known as the ‘Thursday Classes’. These classes offer even more variety for students to engage with. Some examples of the many classes on offer include; Science, Lego, Chess, Guitar, Pius Popstars, Debating, Multisport, French, Club Gaeilge and Homework Club.
