As what is now a rite of passage, the Heather Cup took place this week in from Monday to Thursday. 100s of boys and girls descended each evening to the green fields of Terenure College. With preparations beginning in early September, the 6th class boys monitor the football yard, looking to pick up team members for the June event. Once Easter is out of the way, the real work begins and the teams are formed. Win, lose or draw, everybody has a great time.
Thanks to the parents who organise the event and to Terenure College for the facilities. Mr. Coyle (a former player in the competition, many moons ago) gets the honour of presenting the Heather cup to the winning team. Boys in 5th class already have started taking note for next year.
