Junior infants put their science hats on early ahead of science week next week. The boys learned about different materials and whether they were magnetic or not. Thank you to the 6th class buddies who came to help.
Ms Gallagher’s boys had so much fun doing maths stations to mark ‘Maths week’. The boys changed to a new station every 10 minutes so that they could explore a range of different maths areas including, 2D Shapes, Patterns, number formation and counting! Ms. McWeeney’s Junior Infants got to meet up with their big buddies from Mr. Geraghty’s class on Friday. The boys were so lucky to have some 6th class expertise to help with their Autumn leaf art. We can’t wait for the next meet up.
Congratulations to all the boys who have been nominated onto the Active Schools Committee. This is our school’s first year ever having a Student’s committee dedicated solely to Active Schools. Back to school and into Senior Infants for Ms. O’Neill’s boys! They have been having a great time learning all about school. The boys have been working hard in the ‘School Office’, designing their own Lego classrooms, and even teaching one another a thing or two! Watch out Karen and Ms O’Neill, you could both be out of a job!!!
2 weeks in and Ms Gallagher’s boys are already settling in wonderfully to St Pius. So far, we’ve enjoyed PE, football, activity stations, story time and much more. We’re looking forward to lots more fun in the coming weeks.
