The Annual Terenure College Cross Country took place in a sunny Terenure College today. All boys from 3rd to 6th competed in  races against a number of schools from the area. Ahead of St. Brigid’s Day, the boys in St. Pius X have been learning all about St. Brigid and her traditions. The boys in Ms. Hunts class made some St. Brigid’s crosses using some good strong Galway rushes. The boys weaved some lovely designs in their crosses.

The boys in Ms. Pleamonn’s class worked really hard recently on their first piece of project work. The chosen topic was storms and in particular the big storm of 1947. A number of our 4th class boys got the opportunity to play at half time of the Dublin Mayo game last weekend with their team in Templeogue Synge Street. It was the first time the boys got to play in our national stadium and we hope that it won’t be the last time as our hurling season in St. Pius

Happy Lunar New Year from Ms. O’Neill’s Senior Infants! The boys enjoyed making their own Snake craft to celebrate 2025 Year of the Snake. Our classmate Eunan arrived in his Hanbok. Hanbok is the traditional clothing of Korea.

Mr. Dillon’s 5th class have been busy creating their own shoebox projects. The boys were given a letter and a shoebox to then research, design and present their projects around a variety of themes. Take a look and immerse yourself in these amazing pieces of art!

The boys in Ms. Devenney’s 2nd class have been learning all about the Lunar new year which is celebrated by different cultures around the world, in particular in Asia. This year is the year of the snake and it starts on Jan 29th. The boys are learning about all the different festivals as part of the celebrations in their English
