Mr. Dillon’s young architects and engineers were busy competing to design and build the tallest tower they could from using only spaghetti, marshmallows and tape. The boys in Ms Redmond’s 6th class had a science competition to see who could make the longest paper chain using only ONE a4 piece of paper. The winners were Ben and Finn with a length of 5m 25cm. We are so proud of Cody in Mr. Flaherty’s Class who, last weekend achieved a Gold Medal at the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena. He competed in the pommel, parallel bars, high bar, rings, floor and vault. We know we will be seeing his talent representing Ireland at future Olympics to come. The boys in Ms Dunne’s class got down and dirty this week undertaking a number of experiments as part of St. Pius X Science Week 2021. As you can see from the photos, the boys had a great time investigating how liquids effect solids and how food colouring is used on some of our favourite treats.
