February 1st marked the beginning of the Chinese New Year… 2022 being ‘The Year of the Tiger’. This was the theme for Mr. Réamonn’s mind-bending monthly challenge for January. Our Aistear theme ‘African Market’ was so much fun. Through play, we learned so much about Africa. From animals, to food, to traditional ndebele art and jewellery. We set up a classroom African market where we role played buying and selling fruit, veg, jewellery and crafts. We even got to make smoothies using tropical fruit.
