For Active Week, we didn’t have to go far in the community to find a sporting legend who has a long and successful career. Mick Dowling, who runs the sports shop in Terenure visited the school with some of his memorabilia and spoke to the boys and girls in 6th class. Mick sport about his success in European championships and boxing in the 1968 and 1972 Olympic games. Micks message was clear, “Hard Work & Dedication are key components of success.
