As the toy appeal draws to a close, we would like to thank the school community for the huge response. We received over 10 car loads of toys, teddies and books, which are all making their way to children around the community and the world. Ms. Pleamonn’s boys were chosen this year to light the Advent candle in reception. The boys have been learning about Advent over the last couple of days, as they count down to Christmas Day and the lighting of the white candle. Ms. Pleamonn assured the boys that they wont have to come in on Christmas Day to light it.
We are in full Christmas spirit here in St. Pius X BNS with a fun packed few weeks ahead of us. Below is a timetable of events. We invite parents to join us for the Carol services on Wednesday 18th and Carols on the yard on the last day.
Best of luck to the Faughs U21 team who are into the A Championship final. There are a large contingent of St. Pius X BNS past pupils on the panel. The final takes place this Saturday in O Toole Park at 2.00 pm. All support is welcome. Best of luck to the team from the whole Pius community.
