Ms. Pleamonn’s boys have been investigating soil structure in geography and science. As an experiment they decided to make a wormery. Using layers of compost, shredded newspapers and some crushed chalk, the boys have created the perfect habitat for these important creatures who move between the different soil layers, making nutrients available to plants. Without our little friends, our crops would not grow as big and healthy. We will keep track of their movements and the work they are doing. Thanks too, to JJ our caretaker who helped get us set up.
