Jake from Ms. Mcweeney’s Senior Infants and his brother Zach had so many Easter eggs left over after Easter they decided to have a little sale for charity. They raised €70 and very generously donated the money to the Poor Clare Sisters in Carlow. The boys made the front cover of The Irish Catholic.  Well done boys!

  The boys tried some freestyle painting in the style of the American artist Jackson Pollock, who was famous for creating paintings made by dripping and splashing paint on a large canvas. It was a collaborative piece and is now hanging proudly outside their classroom.

Ms. Gallagher’s Senior Infants are learning all about mini-beasts at the moment. What better way to investigate than a trip to Bushy Park?! Armed with magnifying glasses the boys went exploring for the miniature. They saw spiders, wood lice, worms, snails and much more. They were careful not to disturb the insects in their natural habitat.   E

Last week Cian from Ms. Redmond’s class, courtesy of his Mum and Dad, brought in an abandoned wasps’ nest. The nest is huge, at approximately half a metre long! There was great excitement and the class were buzzing about it! Thank you Cian!!!
