Boys across the school celebrated St. Brigid’s day yesterday by recounting the stories about her life as well as looking at some of the traditions she inspired. As always, there was plenty of rushes on hand, sourced from north Galway, to enable to boys to try to weave St. Brigid’s crosses. The boys in 5th class greatly enjoyed the endeavor and will bring their crosses to St. Pius X church on Thursday to get them blessed as well as getting their throats blessed on the feast of St. Blaise. Thanks to Father Gerry for facilitating us.
