Tomorrow marks the end of an era as our Lollipop lady Pat retires. Pat always had a friendly smile for the boys and girls of Pius X NS as she safely got them to school. Enjoy your well earned retirement Pat.
The green fingers in Ms. Pleamonn’s class paid off today as the boys got reap what they sowed as they harvested their early potatoes. It was a great crop this year and they managed to avoid any diseases such as blight to ensure every boy got their own spud. Well done boys
5th Class finished the year on a high today with their school tour to Emerald Park. The boys (and their teachers) had a great days fun on the rides and rollercoasters. It caps a great year and the boys are looking forward to returning in September as “Top Dogs ” of St. Pius X
The Whizz Quiz finished up another year of fun questions, tricky teasers and puzzling pics. Sebastian (Seb) in Mr. Dillon’s Class ran in to an old friend yesterday on his holidays in the USA. Mr. Cunningham, who left St. Pius to follow his dreams of being a singer, spotted Seb, a past pupil of his in the crowd. Senior Infants headed off this morning to Glenroe with big smiles on their faces. While the farm was the highlight of the day, there was as much excitement over travelling on the double-decker bus. The boys in 6th class had their final St. Pius X BNS School tour on Friday when they visited Emerald Park. A tour with great freedom, the boys (and some teachers) went on all the rides, even the mighty Cuchulann. The boys had a great day in the lovely sunshine and now look forward to their graduation on Wednesday.
