Ms. Mooney’s boys were over the moon this week as they got to bring in their favourite teddy for a teddy bear picnic. The sun shone down on the boys as they chilled on the yard and told their friends all about their prized possessions.

Cody from Mr Faherty’s class competed recently in the ‘Gymnastics Ireland U10 All Ireland event.  He competed against other boys from all over the country and did exceptionally well to finish on the podium with a bronze medal!! It may be a bit of a stretch, but an important part of our Well Being Week is Yoga. The boys have been taking time out of their work to practice mindfulness and finding their inner chii practicing the different yoga poses. Thanks to our resident instructor Ms. Gallagher who has been teaching the boys across the school.

The boys in Ms. O’ Neill’s class took a break from all the hard work to practice their breathing and blow bubbles in the yard. The boys concentrated real hard to make the biggest bubbles they could. Very therapeutic!

On Wednesday, the senior classes got to participate in a drumming workshop with Neil. The boys learned to master rhythm, polyrhythms and composition. Mr. Finnegan particularly seemed to enjoy the session. Ms. O’ Neill’s Junior Infants boys heard the commotion and decided to listen to the older boys perform.

Miss Devenney’s boys had great fun this weekas part of Wellbeing Week. They performed a pizza massage on each other in yard. Looks like great fun! The boys  also did  gratitude exercises drawing what they were most grateful for. Sunny days seemed to be a popular picture !!  Fingers crossed  we will see many more of those days as their

St Pius X Boys Tennis team won the Leinster Semi Final yesterday in a thrilling encounter against Carysfort Boys School in Templeogue Tennis Club. This is the first time the school has reached to Leinster Final and we are extremely proud of the boys achievement to get to this point. The Leinster Final takes place next Thursday May 26th in
