Fiach, Eoghan, Cillian and Tadgh  in 6th class competed in the Leinster Badminton Doubles Tournament last Thursday out in Baldoyle. The boys began by playing 3 matches in the first group stage, which they topped and came first in the leaderboard. Thomas in Ms. Herity’s first class published his first magazine last week with the help of his editor Ms. McWeeney. After carefully planning the format, Thomas got to work in writing different  types of stories to include. As well as being the author, Thomas was also the illustrator, including great drawings throughout. Well done Thomas, keep up the good work.

The boys in Ms. Devenney’s 2nd class did a rocket building project last week. Creativity was flowing as the boys designed rockets of different sizes and shapes. The boys in Ms. O’ Kelly’s class have been very busy this week acting as engineers in Aistear. The boys have been designing and building different structures using different materials around the room. The engineers have built a summer residence for Mr. Coyle! They also have constructed a whole village of houses during Aistear time.

As you may already be aware, preparations are well underway for our upcoming musical ‘The Lion King Jr’. Today was a major milestone as the banner, designed by 6th class boys, Cillian and Tom was unveiled at the gate. The musical will take place over 3 nights in Templeogue College on March 20th 21st and 22nd.

James in Mr. Faherty’s class had a busy weekend as he took charge of the half time game in the All Ireland Club Football final between Glenn and St. Brigid’s in Croke Park. James did a great job in tough conditions. Well done James.

Christopher and Ethan in Ms. Pleamonn’s class have been very busy recently, working on their 3D jigsaws of Croke Park. With a lot of patience, the boys completed their very realistic models of Croke Park. When Mr. Coyle heard, he had to see them and even kept them in his office for everyone to see. Well done boys

As part of a collaboration with Fyffes bananas, 5th class were treated to some fitness classes this week. The boys took a break from the classroom and really enjoyed their aerobic exercises.
