All classes in our school took part in the 4-week ‘Active Break Every Day’ challenge. Our ASF student committee organised, notified and distributed the information every week about the Active Break challenges every week. All of our boys from Junior Infants to 6th Class participated in exciting science experiments last week, engaging their curiosity and creativity. Everyone engaged in hands-on activities like building towers using mini marshmallows and matchsticks, as well as many more exciting experiments.  The experiments were designed to be both educational and fun, sparking a love for science. Boys in Mr. Deery’s 4th class got stuck into some Lego Education to kickstart their 2024 Science Week. All boys got the chance to build some cool robots and even used some cool coding skills to put their Bots to the test in a race at the end. Definitely some future scientists!

On Friday, 4th October the boys in Ms Carroll’s 3rd class had a special day to remember their classmate and friend Michael Horgan. The boys wrote poems and shared their happy memories of Michael and in the afternoon, they played with some giant board games beside Michael’s Map wall to remember all the fun times they shared with him!
