Wellbeing Week kicked off this morning in St. Pius with the theme of ‘Friendship’. There was lots of discussion amongst the boys about what makes a good friend and how we can be a good friend to others. What better way to start Wellbeing Week than ‘clowning around’ practicing our circus skills and enjoying some Giant Games in the sun!

This week, our athletics team headed to Santry to compete in the Cumann na mBunscol Athletics Competition. It was a brilliant day out and a great experience for everyone involved. To celebrate Eco Week, the boys in Ms Herity’s class along with the boys on the Green-Schools Committee got the chance to partake in two sustainability workshops. These workshops were funded by South Dublin CoCo and were focused on the topic of ‘Plastic Action’. The boys learned lots about how plastic is made and all the ways in which we use

Our Green Schools Committee proudly took part in the National Spring Clean last week! Students worked together to litter pick around the school in the sunshine. The committee was very impressed with how little litter was around the school! Well done to all the boys for their efforts with keeping the school a litter free place!

There was brilliant excitement last Sunday as Terenure U13s were crowned Leinster Cup Champions after a fantastic win in the final! It was an extra special day for St Pius, with so many of our boys playing their part in the team’s success. The choir finished off their singing year with a well deserved pizza party. The boys showed great dedication meeting every Monday after school since October. This was an extra special year because the choir got to show off their super singing at the schools first ever spring concert ‘Spring into Summer’. Well done boys!

Our school soccer teams proudly represented us at the FAI 5-a-side Tournament in Drumcondra on Wednesday. Both teams played out of their skin, showing fantastic teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the day.
