3rd class had a fantastic day delving into the wonderful scientific world of Explorium for their school tour! From a lightening show to exploding dry ice experiments, and everything else in between, each exhibit challenged, excited and inspired our budding scientists!

Senior infants had a great time in Airfield on their school tour. They learned all about organic farming, saw the cows being milked, searched for bugs, made mud paintings, got friendly with the Bridget the calf and finished off with a trip to the playground. Thumbs up all round.

Last Friday, we were delighted to enjoy a wonderful Sports Day in Bushy Park. After keeping a close eye on the weather forecast all week, we were especially grateful that the rain held off and allowed us to make the most of a fantastic day outdoors. It was a very exciting day on Tuesday the 19th of May as two representatives from the Green Schools Committee were invited to the Helix in DCU to collect the schools’ very first green flag for Litter and Waste. There was a ceremony with lots of other schools also collecting their green flags. We explored the booths and gathered some great future ideas from other schools for our school! It was a great day and we are looking forward to

We are so proud of Alex Searson from Ms. O’Dell’s 2nd Class, who danced to perfection at the World Open Championship in Irish Dancing,  finishing in a fantastic 5th place! Remy from Ms. O’Dell’s 2nd Class had the most incredible experience at the Ireland vs Qatar international soccer match last Thursday. Remy was chosen as a mascot on the day, which meant he got to visit the Ireland players’ changing rooms and walk out onto the pitch alongside the squad. What an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience,  we are all so delighted
