They planted bulbs in October and have been waiting patiently for them to flower….they never rose to the occasion but they beleaf they will soon. After a two year break from competitive matches, the boys in 5th and 6th class got back on the pitches of Terenure College in the opening round of the Cumann na mBunscol leagues. Ms. Pleamonn’s boys have been investigating soil structure in geography and science. As an experiment they decided to make a wormery. Using layers of compost, shredded newspapers and some crushed chalk, the boys have created the perfect habitat for these important creatures who move between the different soil layers, making nutrients available to plants. The boys are working hard in the Sports Shop using their best sales tactics to sell lots of sports equipment. Some of the boys have also made a GAA pitch from blocks in construction.
