Our student council made a visit to the Dail today to look at the inner workings of government. The place was quiet on probably one of the busiest weeks of the political year with the local and European elections looming. Thanks to all for making the visit possible.

Ms. O’ Neill’s class had an action packed Wellbeing week with loads of fun activities taking place. You can see from the boys faces, they had a great time. It was great to have their 6th class buddies down to share in the fun.

Our 4th Classes were on tour this week as they headed to DCU for the Lets Go camp day. With loads of activities to challenge the boys, they were flat out for the day. As you can see from the photos, the boys enjoyed there trip.

As what is now a rite of passage, the Heather Cup took place this week in from Monday to Thursday. 100s of boys and girls descended each evening to the green fields of Terenure College. The boys in 3rd and 4th class were treated to a woodworking demonstration as part of Wellbeing week. John the woodturner wowed the boys showing them all the different things he had made over his career as a secondary school woodwork teacher. On Tuesday the playground games made their way to the infant yard as classes tried their hand at twister, giant Connect 4,  Noughts & Crosses and Jenga. Our junior boys also had great fun with the parachute, sending tennis balls up on the roof for JJ.

Our Senior Hurlers overcame a very strong St. Brigid’s Castleknock team to reach the final of the Cumann na mBunscol Corn Marino. The school will now prepare for the big day which will take place in Croke Park on Monday June 10th @11.00am. More details will follow Well done boys, a great achievement
