5th Class finished the year on a high today with their school tour to Emerald Park. The boys (and their teachers) had a great days fun on the rides and rollercoasters. It caps a great year and the boys are looking forward to returning in September as “Top Dogs ” of St. Pius X

Sebastian (Seb) in Mr. Dillon’s Class ran in to an old friend yesterday on his holidays in the USA. Mr. Cunningham, who left St. Pius to follow his dreams of being a singer, spotted Seb, a past pupil of his in the crowd. Senior Infants headed off this morning to Glenroe with big smiles on their faces. While the farm was the highlight of the day, there was as much excitement over travelling on the double-decker bus. The boys in 6th class had their final St. Pius X BNS School tour on Friday when they visited Emerald Park. A tour with great freedom, the boys (and some teachers) went on all the rides, even the mighty Cuchulann. The boys had a great day in the lovely sunshine and now look forward to their graduation on Wednesday.
Leo, in Mr. Dillon’s class brought in a special guest as part of the project work the class has been recently completing. Leo’s project was on his grandad, Eurovision winner Charlie McGettigan.
