It was a truly lovely sight this week as Ms. Stewart’s boys and Ms. Nolan’s girls came together and made new friends and buddies. Moments like these remind us how important it is to create opportunities for children to mix, build confidence, and support one another. 2nd Class had a wonderful time holding their very own Winter Olympics. The children showed great creativity by making ski figures using tin foil and lollipop sticks. The boys in senior infants have had so much fun leaning about Croke Park while staying active as part of the active school’s challenge. From pretending to lift the Sam Maguire on the steps of the Hogan stand to learning about clubs all over the world from the club wall, the fun was endless.
Congratulations to Alex Searson from Ms. O’Dell’s 2nd Class, who achieved an amazing result at the Scottish Open Championships in Irish Dancing held in Glasgow this weekend. The Green Schools Committee have been working hard trying to encourage recycling and cutting down on our landfill waste in school.
