The boys in senior infants have had so much fun leaning about Croke Park while staying active as part of the active school’s challenge. From pretending to lift the Sam Maguire on the steps of the Hogan stand to learning about clubs all over the world from the club wall, the fun was endless.
Congratulations to Alex Searson from Ms. O’Dell’s 2nd Class, who achieved an amazing result at the Scottish Open Championships in Irish Dancing held in Glasgow this weekend. The Green Schools Committee have been working hard trying to encourage recycling and cutting down on our landfill waste in school. Our infant classes welcomed Grandparents on Tuesday for the first time ever! It was a lovely morning when we got to talk to our grandparents and show them all our amazing work. Ms. Devenney’s class took learning to new heights this week as students created and launched their own model rockets while studying the solar system. After exploring how planets orbit the sun and how rockets travel through space, students worked in teams to design, build, and decorate their own rockets.
Ms Carroll’s third class have taken beating the January Blues very literally! They have been exploring the concept of Timbre during their music lessons by tapping, shaking and beating various percussion instruments!
