In September 2024 a new math’s curriculum will be introduced as part of the Department of Education’s updating of the primary school curriculum which is in place since 1999. Over this academic year, teachers will be upskilling to ensure we are ready to deliver the new curriculum next year. The Department of Education has published this leaflet and short video

Our now senior citizens in 6th class visited junior infants to introduce themselves to the new boys who have joined our school. The boys in Mr. Smyth’s class will mentor the boys in Ms. Stewart’s class this year, showing them how great life in St. Pius X BNS can be. We look forward to following their journey throughout the year.

Christian in Ms. Pleamonn’s 2nd class had a busy summer building on his success from last year. Christian is trained in the Martial Arts and travelled to England to compete. As you can see it was worth the trip and Christian returned with not one but two medals and a trophy. Well done Christian.
