St. Pius X is a hive of colour at the moment thanks to the boys in a number of classes. Mr Dillon’s boys have the sunwells full of daffodils and Crocuses while Ms Pleamonn’s boys are reaping the rewards for all their work before Christmas. Ms. Gallagher’s boys took advantage of the glorious weather and went on a Spring Walk to Bushy Park! After we spotted lots of signs of Spring, we had great fun in the playground! Harry even met his little brother on route.

The boys in Ms. Redmond’s 6th class are trialing out the new Virtual Reality headsets that were recently purchased by the school using our ICT grants. This new educational platform will allow the boys to travel through time and space and immerse themselves in new environments. We look forward to exploring with our new headsets.

The boys in Ms. Devenney’s Senior Infants went on a Spring Nature Walk in Bushy today .The boys looked out for signs of Spring and saw some Spring flowers. (and loads of the daffodils). The soccer team was back in action today after a long absence and got off to a winning start. The boys played St. Mary’s Ballyboden, in the first home game of the season in Larkview F.C. Thanks to Mr. Cunningham and Mr. Curtin and to Larkview for the use of the grounds.

Fr. King visited 2nd, 3rd and 6th Classes last week to meet all the boys who will be preparing to receive sacraments after Easter. We are delighted to welcome Fr. King to our school and continue to send Fr. Gerry our prayers and thoughts as he recovers.

Dylan in Mr. Curtin’s class has been busy the last few weeks training for the  Leinster Taekwondo Open Championships which were held in the National Indoor Arena in Blanchardstown last week. All the training paid off and Dylan managed to secure medals. Well done Dylan.
