James in Mr. Faherty’s class had a busy weekend as he took charge of the half time game in the All Ireland Club Football final between Glenn and St. Brigid’s in Croke Park. James did a great job in tough conditions. Well done James.

Christopher and Ethan in Ms. Pleamonn’s class have been very busy recently, working on their 3D jigsaws of Croke Park. With a lot of patience, the boys completed their very realistic models of Croke Park. When Mr. Coyle heard, he had to see them and even kept them in his office for everyone to see. Well done boys

As part of a collaboration with Fyffes bananas, 5th class were treated to some fitness classes this week. The boys took a break from the classroom and really enjoyed their aerobic exercises.

St. Pius X BNS was represented at the BT Young Scientist competition by 3 boys in Mr. Geraghty’s class. The boys took the initiative and asked Mr. Geraghty could they enter and worked independently to put together a really interesting project. Well done to Hugh, Cormac and Daniel. The school has been informed that it will be used as a polling station for the upcoming referendum on Friday March 8th. The school will be closed on this date.

Harry (4th), Zach and Ethan (3rd) had a successful weekend as they participated with their soccer team Firhouse Celtic in a blitz. Not only were they victorious but Ethan was named player of the tournament. Well done boys.
