The boys in 3rd and 4th class were treated to a woodworking demonstration as part of Wellbeing week. John the woodturner wowed the boys showing them all the different things he had made over his career as a secondary school woodwork teacher. On Tuesday the playground games made their way to the infant yard as classes tried their hand at twister, giant Connect 4,  Noughts & Crosses and Jenga. Our junior boys also had great fun with the parachute, sending tennis balls up on the roof for JJ.

Our Senior Hurlers overcame a very strong St. Brigid’s Castleknock team to reach the final of the Cumann na mBunscol Corn Marino. The school will now prepare for the big day which will take place in Croke Park on Monday June 10th @11.00am. More details will follow Well done boys, a great achievement

Well done to the 6th class boys who took part in the Castle Cup golf tournament today. The boys have been practicing for the last 6 weeks in the Spawell under the PRO Brendan. Well done to the St. Pius X Athletics team who competed in the Cumann na mBunscol Athletics finals in Morton Stadium Santry. The team consisting of boys from 5th and 6th have been practicing since January as part of the schools running club and were lucky to come home with 2 medals. Well done to Jonah in 5th class who

Congratulations to the St. Pius X NS Mixed tennis team for winning  the Leinster Schools Tennis final which took place last week. The team gave a great display and were welcomed back to a guard of honour by the senior classes. Well done boys and girls.

Our Senior Infants and 1st class boys visited the Civic Theatre in Tallaght last week to watch a play. The show was called Fall and Float. This was a reward for all the great work being completed in class. Well done boys we hope you enjoyed the show.

Sean and Daniel had a once in a lifetime experience last weekend when then were mascots at the Leinster and Northampton match in the Champions Cup Semi Final in Croke Park. Here they are, pictured with the cup Leinster hope to win in 2 weeks time.
