Mrs Mooney’s class enjoyed a lovely nature walk to Bushy Park on Tuesday. The boys collected lots of different leaves which they’ll be using for a creative art lesson very soon. After all their hard work leaf collecting, they even squeezed in a quick visit to the playground! A lovely way to enjoy the outdoors and embrace the autumn season!
2nd Class took their maths learning outdoors for a fun car park maths trail! The boys used car registration plates to solve a variety of maths problems, putting their number skills to the test. They also enjoyed inspecting some very dirty cars along the way! A great bit of hands-on maths learning!
Ms O’Dell’s Junior Infants had a wonderful autumn adventure with their buddies from Ms Egan’s 5th Class! They headed off to Bushy Park, learning about the rules for walking safely outside of school and enjoying time together. The boys in ms. O’Neill’s Senior Infants invited their Big Buddies from 6th Class into their classroom! The younger boys have been busy practising their reading skills, and the 6th Class boys were delighted to listen to them read. A lovely afternoon of reading, learning and buddy time!
Ms. Brogan’s junior infants and Mr. Finnegans 5th class have buddied up this year and made their first visit to Bushy Park for an autumn nature walk. They looked out for all the signs of autumn, collected autumn leaves and squeezed in a visit to the playground too.
Ms Carroll’s 3rd class explored construction in art last week. They worked together to plan, design and build houses from a variety of recyclable materials. It was wonderful to see their great team work, sharing creative ideas, and lots of fun and laughter!
