The boys in Mr. Geraghty’s 6th class visited Tallaght library last week to do a workshop for Engineers Week. The boys were tasked with a Kinx challenge in which they had to build skyscraper. They had to be stable and freestanding. The boys really enjoyed the visit. Thanks to Tallght library for organising the workshop

Coach Mark from Klass Kickz is back in our school for the next 6 weeks with 4th and 5th class boys. Over the next couple of weeks these classes will brush up on their soccer skills while also having lots of fun. We definitely have some future stars on the pitch!

Mr. Deery’s 4th Class got to showcase all their hard work in RDS Simmonscourt at the ESB Science Blast on Tuesday. The boys in the class chose a question which they could research and investigate in school before displaying all their results and findings to present to judges and other schools from across the country. The St. Pius Green Schools Committee have been working hard to ensure that our school is a clean environment for everyone to learn in. Our Green Schools theme this year is Litter and Waste and the boys have been busy ensuring that every classroom is recycling as much as possible and cutting down on unnecessary waste.

St. Pius Tennis Teams got off to a great start in their opening games in Leinster Sports Club Rathmines. Three teams played exceptionally well on Monday afternoon against St. Mary’s College Junior School and all three teams came out on top after very tough battles. Super performances boys! Keep up the good work!

Thomas in Ms. Pleamonn’s class is a Tayto expert and has been putting his knowledge to good use in making a shoe box project. Thomas got his inspiration from Mr. Dillons 5th Class who completed their projects a couple of weeks ago. When the project was completed, Thomas got to tell his class all about it. Well done Thomas.
