The boys in Ms. Pleamonn’s class made frozen banana pops on Friday last, following the procedures from the Over the Moon. The boys had great fun learning how to follow and write recipes and even had a fun treat when they finished.
Mr Curtin’s 6th class were recently learning about 3D shapes in class. They put their knowledge to the test by constructing various 3D shapes using cocktail sticks and Blu-tak.”
This past Saturday, Danny in Mr. Curtin’s 6th class competed at the Cologne Open 2025 with his karate team, Kaizen Dojo. Well done to Adam and Cormac in 6th class who represented Dublin at half time in the Leinster Football semi-final between Dublin and Meath in Portlaoise at the weekend. The boys showed great skill and represented Dublin and St. Pius X BNS with great distinction.
The boys in 5th class concluded their 2nd term with a great sports blitz organised by the Templeogue College future leaders. The day involved football, hurling and soccer and all the local schools. Tom in Ms. Pleamonn’s made a vase from an article in national geographic art lesson in the magazine. The vase was that good that the picture got published in this months issue. Well done Tom.
It was a busy day yesterday in Ms. Pleamonn’s 2nd class as the boys were working hard in a different way to normal. The boys were making butter. Using the traditional way of churning butter, the boys had to work for their lunch and had a delicious jam sandwich using all homemade ingredients. Well done boys.
Since the beginning of the school year our Active Schools Committee have been working extremely hard to earn our Active School Flag. After a tremendous whole school effort we were awarded the flag last week. What an amazing achievement for the school, particularly all the boys on the Active Schools Committee who worked so hard.
Ms Carroll’s class are learning all about mindful meditation this week. The boys took full advantage of the beautiful sunshine to practice some guided meditation with their teddies today! What a wonderful way to enjoy this lovely Spring weather!
