The weekly Whizz Quizzes continued this term with Mr. Réamonn conjuring up some very tricky and interesting questions. To finish the series, on Tuesday 17th December, as part of our Christmas celebrations in St. Pius X, Mr. Réamonn hosted a special Bumper Christmas Whizz Quiz live on Zoom for the boys from 3rd to 6th Class. Today we witnessed two full houses in the PE hall for our annual Junior and Senior Christmas carol service. With an abundance of talent on the display, the school choir,  soloists and band were central to a melody of festive cheer. Well done to all the boys from Junior to 6th who sang their hearts out. St. Pius X received a visit from a very special man earlier today. Under Garda escort, Santa called in to see all the boys who have been very good this year. The big finale of the St. Pius X BNS Christmas play was left to Ms. O’ Regan and her boys who performed the classic Christmas with the Aliens. Make Up and Costumes went all out for this one with some of the boys unrecognisable in their new look. Well done to all the boys in Junior Infants to 2nd class

The last of our Junior Infant plays did not disappoint. It was the turn of Ms. Gallaghers Junior Infants to take to the stage. What a performance from the boys who had everyone on their feet, singing and dancing along.

Ms. Mason’s boys were the first to perform the classic, Christmas with the Aliens. A mode twist of an old classic. With all the elements of your modern soap, the boys gave a stellar performance. Well done boys.

Ms. O Sullivan’s boys performance of Lights, Camel, Action will be talked about for years to come. Rumour has it, talent scouts are reporting back to Hollywood after the performance. Topped off by a rendition of Happy Birthday for Cole, the full house were on their feet as the final song was sang. Well done boys.

Ms. McWeeney’s boys have been tapping away this morning with their play, Ralph the Reindeer. The boys gave a performance that would be suitable for the Bord Gais theatre.
