Ms. Devenney’s boys were our final performance of day 1 and boy what a performance it was. Their interpretation of the age old classic Lights, Camel, Action was one for the ages. And, as you can see from the photos the boys really enjoyed it.

Next up on stage were Ms. O Neill’s senior infants with their rendition of the Sleepy Shepherds. Hair and make up was very busy for this play and the boys gave it their all. Well done boys!

Our first show to take place this year was Ms. Brogan’s Junior Infants with their production of Ralph the Reindeer. The boy’s have set the standards very high for the remaining plays!!

St. Pius X  is a hive of music and drama this week with our plays getting underway in Junior Infants to 2nd Class. We are looking forward to 10 stellar performances over the next 4 days. We are delighted to this year support the boys in Terenure College who are selling Christmas trees for their chosen charity , “The Irish Cancers Society’s Pink Ribbon campaign”. As the toy appeal draws to a close, we would like to thank the school community for the huge response. We received over 10 car loads of toys, teddies and books, which are all making their way to children around the community and the world. Ms. Pleamonn’s boys were chosen this year to light the Advent candle in reception. The boys have been learning about Advent over the last couple of days, as they count down to Christmas Day and the lighting of the white candle. Ms. Pleamonn assured the boys that they wont have to come in on Christmas Day to light it.
