Conor and Hugh played in Parnell Park on Saturday night, at half time in the Dublin Kilkenny game, while David and Ronan played in Croke Park at half time of the Dublin Meath game. ‘Yesterday the boys from Ms. Herity’s 1st Class had a Pizza Fun Day to celebrate winning the St. Pius X Parents’ Association Fittest Class Activity Challenge. The boys enjoyed a well-deserved day of ‘no work’, which included a trip to Bushy Park as well as lots of cheesy pizza! Well done, boys!’

On Saturday last, the boys in 6th class made the sacrament of confirmation in St. Pius X church. Thankfully, the sun was shining on the day and a lovely ceremony was delivered by Fr. King. Well done to the boys who now look forward to their last few months in St. Pius X before they move on the secondary school.

Our hurlers got their season under way yesterday with victories over our neighbours Ballyroan. In all three games, the teams showed great skill and determination to come away with the win. Thanks to the teachers in charge for organising and to Terenure College for the grounds.

Well done to all our winners of the annual St. Pius X Parents Association’s Fittest class challenge. The overall class winners were Ms. Redmond’s 6th class and Ms. Herity’s 1st class. Some serious ground was covered over the weekend. Thankfully the school does not have to pay mileage!!! Thanks to everyone who took part and to the PA for organising.

The boy’s in Ms Stewart’s class are reading the Grandad’s Secret Giant and created a huge picture to go on the wall just like the mural in the story. The boys had loads of fun, working together to make this masterpiece.
