This year Mr. Réamonn will be setting the boys from 3rd to 6th class a Monthly Enrichment Challenge. In November, he set the boys a Mathletes challenge called ‘Seven Slices’. Adam in Mr. Smyth’s 5th Class competed last week in the National Cross Country races last week in Santry. Boys and girls from all over the country took part and Adam managed to win a medal, finishing 5th in Dublin and 28th in all of Ireland. Well done Adam, you have a bright future ahead.

James in Ms. Dunne’s 2nd class has been busy making stopmotion videos in his spare time. This is his latest creation. Stopmotions involve taking photos of every little movement and then piecing them together to make a movie. It could take over 100 pictures to make a 30 second clip. We can’t wait to see what James’s next masterpiece will

The boys in 5th class have been taking part in the Marathon Kids programme for the last 8 weeks. Each day, the boys would run between 800 and 1000 metres with the goal of reaching the marathon milestone. On Wednesday, both classes travelled to Tallaght Athletics Club to complete the final mile.
