We were delighted to find out yesterday about the amazing musical achievements of past pupil Stan O’Beirne. Stan is fondly remembered by teachers here in St Pius BNS and we are sure this wont be the last we hear of his accomplishments in Music. Michael in First Class made an appearance in the Irish Times last week for his entry into their children’s climate writing competition. It asked children to write to the governments and leaders attending COP26. Michael was shortlisted in the primary school category. Watch Michael read his letter to his classmates. Boys across the school got creative with their costumes for the last day before midterm break. The school is closed until Monday, November 1st.

In the absence of our traditional school assemblies, boys from Junior to 6th took part in virtual assemblies over the last week. Topics like internet safety, being safe at Halloween and school rules were all discussed but the highlight of the assemblies was undoubtedly the individual class performances of songs, poems, and creative stories, both í mBéarla agus as Gaeilge.
