You just can’t MATCH the boys from St. Pius X! For February’s mind-bending monthly challenge, Mr. Réamonn tasked the boys with a Mathletes Challenge – a matchstick puzzle. The aim was to decide which three matchsticks to remove in order to leave just three squares. This month we had a record 186 entries! The winners selected from the correct entries this month were Oscar from Mr. Smyth’s class, Dómhnall from Mr. Curtin’s class and Harry from Mr. Faherty’s class.
