As is the tradition in St. Pius X BNS, the boys in Ms. Redmond’s and Mr. Geraghty’s classes came together in the Secret Garden to decide on a charity in which they would make a contribution to, using money they received for the confirmation. Boys are given the opportunity to nominate a charity which is important to them. The boys then speak to the rest of the group about their charity and the work they do. Again this year there were many worthy charities nominated. However after a vote it was decided that the boys would make a donation to Our Lady’s Hospice.
Well done to all the boys. This is an initiative, led by the pupils that we, as a school community are very proud of.
