The US mid term elections may have made national headlines this week but there was a more important election taking place in St. Pius X BNS. With nominations, canvassing and some very lively debates, the Student Council was formed with boys from 3rd to 6th class being elected by their peers to represent their classes and bring forward important school

Alex  from Ms. Robinson’s Junior Infants wore his 1st place sash that he was awarded after dancing a Slip Jig and Reel. Well done, Alex!

Just before the Halloween break, Ms. Robinson’s class released the butterflies that they had been observing and looking after for a number of weeks. We were all sad to say goodbye but happy that they can begin their new adventure!

The boys in Ms. Robinson’s Junior Infants had their first Spooky Halloween in St. Pius X with some great costumes. The boys also had a spooky trail around the school yard. Mr. Coyle was so afraid of all the ghouls and goblins that he kept away from their class for the day.

Our Senior White footballers capped off a successful season with some silverware on Monday after defeating St. Brigid’s Castleknock in Russell Park Castleknock. After a number of postponements due to weather, the boys were rearing to go and took to the field in tough conditions Monday @ 3.00. In a very tightly contested match, the teams went score for score

To celebrate our parish club Faughs reaching the County Hurling Final on Sunday, St. Pius X had a no-uniform day on Friday to support the team.
