Sunday, April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day. There were lots of celebrations in Ms. Herity’s class. Jackson gave his classmates a wonderful presentation all about Autism, and the boys learned that autism can make amazing things happen!
Ms. O’Kelly’s boys have been very busy this term and have now well established themself in the St. Pius X school community. Here is a snapshot of all the hard work and fun they have completed. And after a good rest at Easter, they will be back, looking forward to Term 3
Frankie Donegan in Ms O’Dell’s 3rd class completed his first ever guitar exam last week. He came into school today to show off his official ‘Trinity College London’ certificate, in which he received a ‘Merit’ in Grade 1 Classical guitar. We look forward to seeing him up on stage in a few years time! Well done, Frankie!
On Tuesday the boys from fourth class were privileged to have an expert on wildlife and biodiversity show them what was on our doorstep in Bushy Park and along the River Dodder. Our 6th class boys were in Wayside Celtic this week to compete in the FAI 5 a side tournament. In extremely tough conditions, the boys fought hard and although the results didn’t go our way, the boys had a great day.
With thanks to one of our parents, Tonia, and the boys in Mr. Geraghty’s 6th class, 1000 euro was raised last Friday for Daffodil Day and Cancer Research. Thanks to the generosity of our school community.
