Today marked one of our most successful days in our athletics history as we came home with a haul of medals from the Cumann na mBunscol Athletics finals in the National Athletics Morton Stadium in Santry. First up on the podium was Adam in Mr. Geraghty’s class who grasped gold in the U12 Sprint. Next up was Jonah who was the overall long jump champion for the day. The success kept coming with Aaron winning out the 600m. Our last boy on the podium was Harry who brought home bronze in the high jump event. Unfortunately our relay teams were just outside the medal hauls while Tim finished strong in the shot putt. A great day for St. Pius X and important to remember that over 2000 boys and girls competed in todays events!!. Well done to the boys and thanks to Ms. O Sullivan and Ms. Goddard for preparing the teams.
