Sebastian (Seb) in Mr. Dillon’s Class ran in to an old friend yesterday on his holidays in the USA. Mr. Cunningham, who left St. Pius  to follow his dreams of being a singer, spotted Seb, a past pupil of his in the crowd. Senior Infants headed off this morning to Glenroe with big smiles on their faces. While the farm was the highlight of the day, there was as much excitement over travelling on the double-decker bus. The boys had a great day with all the animals and the weather played its part too. As you can see from the pictures, great fun

The boys in 6th class had their final St. Pius X BNS School tour on Friday when they visited Emerald Park. A tour with great freedom, the boys (and some teachers) went on all the rides, even the mighty Cuchulann. The boys had a great day in the lovely sunshine and now look forward to their graduation on Wednesday.

Leo, in Mr. Dillon’s class brought in a special guest as part of the project work the class has been recently completing. Leo’s project was on his grandad, Eurovision winner Charlie McGettigan. Leo delivered a very comprehensive presentation to the class (and his brother Eoin, who got to visit from Ms. Mason’s class) and was supported with a few songs

The 4th class boys had a great day on Wednesday when they visited Explorium. The boys had great fun playing the different games and figuring out the puzzles, even managing to trick some of the teachers.

Our 1st class and 3rd class boys had great fun the last few days taking part in hurling blitzes in Terenure College. The sun has been splitting the stones. Thanks to the 6th class for reffing the matches and organising the games and thanks to Tommy, our GPO from Faughs for organising the days and the weather.
