The 4th class boys had a great day on Wednesday when they visited Explorium. The boys had great fun playing the different games and figuring out the puzzles, even managing to trick some of the teachers.

Our 1st class and 3rd class boys had great fun the last few days taking part in hurling blitzes in Terenure College. The sun has been splitting the stones. Thanks to the 6th class for reffing the matches and organising the games and thanks to Tommy, our GPO from Faughs for organising the days and the weather.

Our 11th annual Jubilee run took place on a hot and sunny Wednesday afternoon in Terenure College. With over 110 competitors from 5th and 6th class, competition was always going to be stiff. Our 3rd class boys were our resident historians this week as they held exhibition days with a range of very old and rare artefacts. The boys told their classes about their interesting objects before putting on a display for the other classes who called to visit and quizzed them on their authenticity. Junior infants had a brilliant day at Glenroe farm. Luckily the weather brightened up and all the animals came out to say hello. The boys rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in, holding, petting and feeding some of the animals. The boys in 4th class were under pressure in the kitchen this week as they made some dishes with Keri. The boys are learning some delicious life skills as well as how to prepare food and meals safely. Thankfully, after all the hard work, the boys get to enjoy the product of their endeavors. Faughs GAA Club are hosting their annual Community Schools Project Night this Thursday 12th June at 7:30pm. All 4th class boys who took part designing a logo to celebrate 140 years of Faughs GAA are welcome to attend on the night. Awards will be presented by William Maher, National Head of Hurling.
